Abbas Salimi made the remark at the closing ceremony of the center’s summer Quran teaching courses, held Wednesday night at the holy mausoleum.
Some 170 of the top participants in the courses were honored at the ceremony, which was also attended by a number of Quranic and religious officials as well as prominent Quran activists.
Salimi said that after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the summer Quranic courses of the center were received very well this year, with more than 1,240 individuals taking part in the in-person and virtual classes.
He said the courses featured lessons on Quran memorization, recitation, etc, adding that the participants took an examination at the end of the classes.
Salimi referred to a Hadith from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that urges parents to raise their children with the love for the Quran, for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and for Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), praising those parents who teach their children the Quran.
